How to Keep Your Product Backlog Healthy (and Happy)

Does your Scrum team or someone you love suffer from not knowing who benefits from your work? Do you finish items quicker than you anticipated? Do you have times when you can’t tell if an item is done? Do you ever take on too much work? Do you never talk to anyone about the item you’re working on? Why bother with CSPO if You're Already a Certified ScrumMaster?

Of all the Agile classes you can take in the world, by far the most popular class is that of
Certified ScrumMaster (CSM), a certification offered by the Scrum Alliance . That same organization offers another certification course call Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO), but in my experience, only about 1 in 20 students end up taking CSPO.  Why the popularity of ScrumMaster over Product Owner? And what exactly is the point of taking a Product Owner course if you are not a Product Owner or if you already have your ScrumMaster credential?

Having taken both courses, I’ve found them to compliment one another perfectly. A Product Owner class is pretty great and worth the investment (even if you aren’t or ever plan to play the role of Product Owner). Here are two main reasons why.
